RELEASE THE GREASE 2: Staying Positive!

HOLA!  TODO BIEN!

Yes, it is!!  Today is your day to kickstart your new life.  I am soooo excited!  For real I am…Im am so ready to release this #$#^$&^%!! Off my body…lol!  Sorry, just being my crazy self….and yes, I am high energy…even in writing.

 

JUICE BLEND
8 granny smith apples
4 cucumbers
4 stalks of celery
4 – 6 Kale leaves
¼ Lemon (unpeeled) >>>This is going to make your juice nice and strong…if it is too much, then take the peel off.
1” piece of ginger

 

This should fill up a tall jug…the next thing I do is add water to fill up the gallon.  No more then 1/3 of the bottle.

 

SMOOTHIE BLEND

3 Bananas

1 large scoop of unsweetened Peanut Butter

Almond Milk

Ice

Honey to sweeten

 

This smoothie is good if you need a little more bulk to start you off!

The big thing you have to remember for the next 7 days is that this is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your body.  You have to understand this, know this, feel this…and make it your mantra for the next 7 days.  HELL!  For Life!  Make eating and living a healthier lifestyle a MANTRA!  YOUR MANTRA! Release the Grease 2: Juice and Smoothie Cleanse with Skai and her Peeps!

Skai’s 7 Day Juice [and Smoothie] Cleanse

 

Your goal should be to consume 96 oz of freshly pressed juice per day.  (Check out the amazingly cool Smoothie chart at the bottom of this email…good stuff!)

First thing every morning, start with your oil pulling!  Get your coconut oil and I will detail how to do it in another email…

Next, drink 1 litre of spring/filtered water with the juice
of ¼ lemon or lime.

Breakfast – 24 oz of your daily Juice Blend
Lunch – 24 oz of your daily Juice Blend
Mid/Late Afternoon- 24 oz of your daily Juice Blend
Dinner- 24 oz of your daily Juice Blend

96 oz is an average amount of juice to drink every day. Some people may drink more, others may drink less. It all depends on your lifestyle, your weight, height, levels of activity, etc. 96 oz of freshly pressed juice will ensure that you can function normally, go to work, drive a car, exercise, and still cleanse, detoxify, lose weight and rejuvenate.

The main goal is to include 1 to 2 pounds of greens into your juices everyday (1 pound of green is equivalent to 1 head of lettuce, 1 bunch of kale, 1 box of baby spinach, etc.). Also important on the juice feast is to make sure to juice ½ – 1 whole head of celery every day as well (this will ensure you get adequate amount of natural sodium which the body needs). An alternative to celery is bok choy. The easiest way to get the greens and celery into your juices is to add them into all your juices. By adding just 2 leaves of kale and a stalk of celery to 2-4 cups of fruit juice, you will barely taste it!

How to make tasty juices:

The best way to make good juices is to know about ‘juice bases.’ The Juice base are certain ingredients that make up the base or bulk of a juice and then you add whatever else in as an extra ingredient for taste. Example of ingredients that make up a base or bulk of a juice would be: Carrots, Apples, Pears, Beets, Cucumber, Celery, and Tomato.  And that would be 80-90% of the juice, and the remaining 10-20% would be greens or sprouts.

* Fruit is an option to add to your Juice, most people prefer to add something sweet!
**Lemon, Ginger, Garlic and/or Cayenne Pepper are also great additions to your daily Juice Blend.

Adding water (Spring or Distilled) is totally acceptable…I do this all the time.  One reason is to get more water in my system. And the next reason is to stretch my budget.  And if you can get it, coconut water is the absolute best water to drink.
